Mineral SPF moisturizer with hyaluronic acid provides 12-hour hydration and helps reduce signs of premature skin aging caused by the sun*. This mineral sunscreen for face is formulated with Cell-Ox Shield® Technology: broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection with antioxidants. Suitable for normal, oily, dry, combination skin types. Tested on sensitive skin.

The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends this product as an effective aid in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin, including sunburn and possibly premature aging. When used regularly in the prescribed manner, this product may also help reduce the potential risk of skin cancer due to overexposure to sunlight.

How to use

Step 1: Apply generously 15 minutes before sun exposure..

Step 2: Reapply at least every 2 hours.

Step 3: Use a water resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating.

Step 4: If used with other skincare products, use as a last step in regimen. Can be used alone or under makeup.

TIP: 100% mineral filter sunscreens are formulated only using Titanium Dioxide and/or Zinc Oxide as the active ingredients. These mineral actives are opaque powders, so a 100% mineral sunscreen can leave an ashy, purple or white cast on some skin tones. To help the formula blend into the skin, dispense onto fingers and warm in circular motion, apply onto skin in small sections. Rub well until the formula is no longer visible. You can also layer with your favorite foundation.

Ingredients

Cell-Ox Shield® Technology: A key antioxidant technology in the Anthelios sun care range. It combines photostable UVA/UVB filters to deliver broad spectrum protection and powerful antioxidant protection. With Senna Alata, a tropical leaf extract known to defend skin cells in the upper layer of skin against damaging free radicals caused by the sun.
Vitamin E : Tocopheryl acetate is a synthetic, more stable form of vitamin E. It has antioxidant properties to help neutralize damaging free radicals.
Glycerin: Derived from vegetable sources, it’s an excellent humectant. It helps hydrate skin by absorbing water from the surrounding environment.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA): A polysaccharide (carbohydrate polymer) found naturally within the skin. When used in a formula, HA is an effective humectant that can hold a large amount of water to help maintain the skin’s moisture.
Vitamin B5: Panthenol (provitamin B5) is a key ingredient used in some La Roche-Posay formulas to help the skin feel soothed and moisturized.
Lipo-Hydroxy Acid (LHA): Also known as LHA, it’s a derivative of salicylic acid, and has exfoliating and skin surface renewing properties.
Zinc Oxide: Also known as a physical or inorganic sunscreen filter and is often recommended for sensitive skin types. It forms a barrier on the skin’s surface to reflect and scatter a wide spectrum of UV light, including UVA and UVB rays.
Titanium Dioxide: Also known as a physical or inorganic sunscreen filter and is often recommended for sensitive skin types. It forms a barrier on the skin’s surface to help protect against both UVA and UVB rays.
Dimethicone: A silicone-based polymer used as a skin protectant to help reduce water loss.
Silica: A type of powder with a spherical bead shape that provides a silky feel and soft focus effect. It is lightweight and is able to absorb a significant amount of oil from skin.
